Walk, the walks of your dreams.

I was driving to work when FM radio played a very peppy and inspirational song. The lyrics just blew my mind! Reached my workplace and Googled to find that it is a song from the movie ‘London Dreams’ (2009). While the movie was un-inspiring fare and bombed at the box office, the music was received well. The song is ‘Shola,Shola’ with lyrics penned by Prasoon Joshi and sung by Zubeen Garg. The music is by Shankar, Ehsaan, loy.

“De Hava Dil Ki Angithi Ko De Hawa
Aur Badha, Naaringi Sholo Ko Aur Badha
Timtimaati Lau Ki Koyi Na Samajhe Jubaan
Lapat Ban Ja Tu, Badhake Chhu Le Aasmaan
Aur Jal Tu Pighal Hawa Hai Tu Beh Nikal
Raahein Bana Raste Bana Chal Re
Shola Shola Shola Shola. Hai Tu Khoya Hai Kahaan
Rakh De Hateli Pe Angaarein Tabhi Samjhega Jahaan
Shola Hai Tu,
Ho Khaamosh Rehane Ka Abb Mausam Nahi
Le Taan Unchi Dheemi Sargam Nahi
Haar Ko Tyuahaar Kar, Dard Se Sanghaar Kar
Kaise Nahi Sunegi Yeh Duniya
Jakhmon Ko Khol Tu Chir Ke Dil Bol Tu
Chaara Hai Tu Naala Hai Tu, Kud Ja
Shola Shola Shola Shola… Hai Tu Khoya Hai Kahaan
Rakh De Hateli Pe Angaarein Tabhi Samjhega Jahaan
Shola Hai Tu.
Apni Najar Ki Aahein, Jab Aayegi
Manjil Hi Pehale Palake Jhapkaayegi
Thokaron Mein Baat Ho Toh Kankaron Ki Maat Ho
Jeet Bhi Tere Saath Ho
Sar Pe Kafan Tere Agar Meherbaan Har Dagar
Khaabon Pe Yakin Toh Abhi Jindagi
Shola Shola Shola Shola… Hai Tu Khoya Hai Kahaan
Rakh De Hateli Pe Angaarein Tabhi Samjhega Jahaan
Shola Hai Tu”

I am reminded of Salvador Dali’s words “At the age of six I wanted to be a cook. At seven I wanted to be Napoleon. And my ambition has been growing steadily ever since.” 🙂
