We have the choice to use the gift of our life to make the world a better place–or not to bother. One of these choices is donating our organs .And allowing life, which is precious, to continue.
‘Organ Donation’ is a cause I support. Thus, its immensely satisfying that ,in my work sphere, I have been given the responsibility of creating awareness about it.In my interaction with the ORBO (Organ Retrieval Banking System) team at AIIMS,New Delhi, today I came across a wonderful poster which has been made to create awareness about organ donation. The staff couldn’t really tell me whose idea this was.But I felt a strange kinship with this anonymous person, because he/she connected music with life 🙂 . So Nietzsche said “Without music, life would be a mistake”.
Here is the poster. It has some of my favorite musicians and artistes: George Harrison , Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Meena Kumari, Mozart. They all died due to organ failure. The message was ”If only someone had donated organs”.
The accidental sufi says when/where there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
That’s the way she lives/tries to live.Coz that is/there is only one way to live.
Just as there is only one way to rock 🙂
