The Scent Of A Rose

“The splendor of the rose and the whiteness of the lily
do not rob the little violet of it’s scent nor the daisy of its simple charm.
If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness.” ( Therese de Lisieux)

Without impinging on the loveliness , importance and need of a little violet or simple daisy, sometimes I think, the rose is much maligned. For its flamboyance and a beauty that combines  great strength. For its ability to stand alone and proud. Much like a woman who has similar adjectives attributed to her.

The rose is my favorite flower and its scent is one that I love.Anne Bronte says “But he who dares not grasp the thorn,Should never crave the rose”. That’s how I like to live my life too.

That made me go and buy two great products which I use in summer, from Forrest Essentials, a luxury Ayurveda range.

Forrest Essential’s ‘Indian Rose Absolute Collection”. Featured in picture is the ‘Light Hydrating Facial Gel”. It’s  a light, cool facial gel incorporating pure Rosewater with Cucumber and Aloe Vera gel to soothe, refresh and moisturize the skin. Highly emollient Plum fruit extract supplies additional nourishment,  with nutrient rich Wheat Germ extract . The feel is heavenly!

Forest Essential’s ‘Indian Absolute  Collection”. Featured in the picture is ‘ Sugared Rose Petal Lip Balm”. This  delicious and prettily packaged lip balm contains fresh Rose Petals soaked in Honey to protect your lips.  Its extraordinarily moisturizing and hydrating !

I highly recommend both the products! They don’t come reasonably priced. But don’t let that  deter you because it is Nature, with all its loveliness and beauty, in a tiny jar.

The accidental sufi signs off with a favorite song that her guy sings for her 🙂
